Film School are currently writing songs for their next album...recording is due to commence in the new year.

Following a rapturous showcase at this years South By Southwest festival, Film School give you their new single '11:11', a stand-out track – if such a thing can exist on such a classic sounding and beautifully crafted record – from Film School's eponymous debut album (out now).

'11:11' is a hypnotic force where building drum and bass loops roll under deliriously tense guitars that wail with dramatic urgency while intriguing keyboard samplers echo over the surface, all accompanied perfectly by Krayg Burton's emotive vocal.

B-side 'Walk Until Sunday' is a brand new track, indicative of Film School's ability to craft an enveloping wall of sound within dark, brooding and bewitching atmospherics. Film School is the sound of a powerful, driven forced coated in a fragile, heart wrenching beauty.

Film School began life as a group of like-minded San Francisco musicians writing and producing music by themselves for themselves. The result was something very special indeed. Undoubtedly they rock - hungry unrestrained guitars and loud driven drumbeats - but it is a sound as brooding, atmospheric and self-contained, as it is explosive and infectious. It is a sound that makes them memorable as well as unique and unequalled amongst their contemporaries, yet simultaneously it seems somehow familiar. It is the recalling of an early eighties alternative spirit mixed with an unprecedented fervent and conviction.

Following a successful showcase at this years South By Southwest, new signings Film School release debut single 'On and On' through Beggars Banquet on the 26th September 2005, with their self-titled debut album following in January 2006.

Film School are a quintet hailing from San Francisco. Together they create a majestically epic, sonic suffused wall-of-sound, laced with such unprecedented fervour and conviction it transcends the early-eighties alternative spirit it sometimes recalls, delivering something unequalled and inimitable.

'On and On' is hungry, unrestrained guitars and foreboding vocals weaved through infectious synth lines and loud, driven drumbeats, hypnotically spiralling and ascending in it's own atmospheric, self-contained world. Indicative of Film School's sound, 'On and On' is simultaneously darkly brooding and infectiously uplifting, powerful, emotive, inspiring and above all stunningly beautiful.

B-sides 'Plus 1' and 'February' offer up the gentler, melodic side of a band who are set to be as grandiose as their sound.
