with the current success of bands dipping their toes in the darker waters of eighties music, it's time to remember the original swinging swimmers.

bauhaus may have launched a thousand shits but this dvd is an entertaining time capsule of the real thing, establishing most of the major ideas that would be purloined in the name of goth by lesser talents over the next 25 years.

travel back to the early '80's and witness a blueprint for "post modern (aka. post punk)" - it's all here bar the piercings; they came later, along with mobiles and microsoft.

featuring the original bauhaus promotional videos plus live performances recorded at the old vic theatre, london in 1982, the two programs were originally released seperately in the mid 1980's on (long out-of-print ) vhs tapes.
