Summer Apprenticeship

Matador Records is offering one eight-week long apprenticeship this summer. This opportunity will provide a foundational understanding of a record label, exposing you to various departments including press & publicity, social media, marketing & content creation, A&R, digital operations, and catalog, as well as opportunities to learn about the wider recorded music industry via personnel at Beggars Group.

This position will pay $16 per hour, and you will be expected to be our Soho office located at 134 Grand Street 3 days a week (Tuesday – Thursday). You will need to have the right to work in the US to apply. The program will run from June 4 through August 1, excluding the week of July 1 – 5.

You don’t need to have any previous experience working in music to apply to this program – in fact, we strongly encourage people who have no music industry experience to apply. We just want to know about your passion for music and why you want to get started working in the industry.
